Places I Love2019-12-22T02:02:39-07:00

Colorado Springs

The heart of Colorado and the home of Jacie Marguerite Studio. Here are venues and places that I love!

Here in the Springs my top favorite would have to be The Broadmoor, the history and view is one to remember! Others to follow would have to be The Pinery at the Hill, Cheyenne Mountain Resort, Garden of the Gods Club and Resort, The Club at Flying Horse, and The Lodge at Flying Horse. A few venues within a hour from the Springs are Crooked Willow Farms, Highlands Ranch Mansion, and Spruce Mountain Events.

Estes Park

Estes park is a famous Colorado mountain town on the edge of the one and only Rocky Mountain National Park. My favorite venues are the Della Terra Mountain Chateau, The Estes Park Resort, The Stanley Hotel, Mary’s Lake Lodge, the Black Canyon Inn, YMCA of the Rockies, and endless amazing places for intimate weddings and romantic elopements in Rocky Mountain National Park.

You have to check out Lions Square LodgeVail also has Piney River Ranch and the Vail wedding Deck. If you want something really up-market there’s a plethora of amazing resorts like the Sonnenalp and the Vail Racquet Club Mountain Resort. Other favorites are Larkspur Events, Four Seasons Resorts, The Sebastian and Hotel Talisa.

You can’t go wrong with Maroon Bells! Some of my favorites are The Little Nell ( I am a featured photographer), St. Regis, Caribou Club and Hotel Jerome.

Dry Gulch Town Nearby Copper Mountain Resort in Copper is one of the highest elevation wedding venues in Colorado! A great elopement location is Sapphire Point in Lake Dillion.

Great wedding venues in Denver include Mile High Station, The Brown Palace, The Magnolia Hotel, SKYLIGHT and Clocktower Events. Nestled in the foothills nearby are the stunning Chatfield Botanic Gardens, The Manor House, and Arrowhead Golf Club in Littleton and Crooked Willow Farms in Larkspur. Other awesome venues on the front range include the Evergreen Lake House and The Barn in Evergreen, Planet Bluegrass in Lyons, the Briarwood Inn and the Boettcher Mansion in Golden, Baldoria on the Water in Lakewood, the Villa Parker. Cottonwood Glen is one of my new venue favorites outside Parker! Other favorites are Stonewall Farm, Wellshire Event Center, Ritz, Cherokee Ranch Castle, The Elizabeth Colorado, Moss Denver, The Curtis Denver, Lionsgate, Timber Ridge, Blackstone Rivers Ranch, The Barn at Raccoon Creek, Ken Caryl and Boulder Creek with Wedgewood, and Sanctuary Golf Course.

Rocky Mountain National Park

Check out their list of designated wedding sites and find your dream location for a mountain wedding among the 14,000 ft jaw-dropping peaks. Some favorite spots for mountain weddings in RMNP are Sprague Lake, Bear Lake, Lily Lake, and Moraine Park.

For elopements you can get married on the side of Trail Ridge Road, or hike up to Dream Lake or Emerald Lake, or down to Alberta Falls for a stunning mountain elopement location.

Grand Lake Area

If you take Highway 34 (Trail Ridge Road) all the way west through Rocky Mountain National Park, you arrive in the gorgeous mountain town of Grand Lake, CO. Winding River Ranch is a fantastic mountain ranch wedding venue with great views, two different barns to have your reception, and several cabins that you can rent out to have your family and friends stay.

Right next door to Winter Park is the small town of Tabernash, which has mountain wedding venues, Devils Thumb Ranch. Get married in the High Lonesome Barn or the more intimate Timber House for an amazing mountain wedding that your guests will never forget.

Colorado Springs

Favorites are of course the Garden of the Gods Park and Palmer Park. Other beautiful outdoor locations include Fox Run Park, Red Rocks Open Space, Bear Creek Park, Helen Hunt Falls, Ute Valley Park, Gold Camp and the Painted Mines.  If you are looking for a upper class shoot I couldn’t recommend The Broadmoor enough! Then there is also the cool city scenes such as Downtown Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City.

Denver & South

Denver has a wide range of city parks to mountain overlooks within a hour distance. Some close mountain views include Lost Gulch Overlook, Gross Reservoir, Mount Falcon, Golden Ponds, Brainard Lake, St. Marys Glacier, Three sisters Aldefer, Mount Sanitas, Kenosha Pass, Boreas Pass, Sawmill Reservoir, and Evergreen Lake House. City and downtown views will include Union Station, City Park, Roxborough State Park, Civic Center Park, Cheesman Park, and Wash Park.

The top breathtaking place has to be Sand Dunes National Park, let me know if you are down for that adventure! Other amazing locations are Sapphire Point, Black Canyon in Gunnison, Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake, Twin Lakes, Telluride, and Colorado National Monument to name a few.
